through extensive experience with edmodo, I feel that I can deduce that it serves a much needed purpose as a secure outlet for students and teachers to collaberate on homework assignments and gain any advice or help they may need in an easy to access, easy to use format that removes any complexities from the ultimately simple task of providing students with a way to communicate with teachers outside of school. While the website may seem slightly stark at first glance, (you arent able to do anything at all with the website until you are logged in) once you are logged in, edmodo becomes an expansive yet simple tool for gaining access to assignments, study guides and whatever other miscellaneous educational material a student could ask for. This is excellent because it impoves upon an idea that was already in use but executed poorly. (im looking at you moodle) This website improves upon moodle primarily because of its organization. Where moodle forces users to search through numerous lists to find exactly what they are looking for, edmodo removes this by having your login page take you directly to your teachers page. This proves to be extremely useful when in a hurry to access content. All things considered, edmodo is an excellent educational alternative to moodle that vastly improves upon a concept that, while not new, has never been done well.
